can't upload files with curl

I am trying to upload files with curl.  Based on community advice I think this should be correct:   curl -X POST https://content.dropboxapi.com/2/files/upload \     --header "Authorization: Bearer...

Intersting, now that I look at the output in more detail I see

 

< HTTP/1.1 413 Request Entity Too Large

 

This is a 2.3GB file.  Should I be uploading this in a different way?
