Date of file changes from UK to USA version when added to Dropbox
I have produced a spreadsheet, but when its put into dropbox the dates changed from UK to USA version. Is there away to stop this
Thanks inadvance
Thanks for the screenshot, Lyn14! From your screenshot, it looks like you’re previewing the file on the Dropbox website.
Can you please click on the “Open in” button above the preview, and open your file with Excel for the web instead? Do you still see the dates in the US format then?
If yes, do you see any option to switch to the UK format instead?

Hi from me too, Lyn14! If you haven’t tried this already, can you please clear your browser’s cache/browsing data and then re-upload the file to Dropbox?
If this doesn’t work, I’d also like you to take one extra step with me, and re-upload the file to Dropbox via an incognito/private window on your Microsoft Edge browser.
Does that seem to help at all?

Hiya thanks for trying to help. Have cleared all the history and up loaded it again and its still the same.
Not sure what you mean about private window.

Thanks for giving that a try!
If you open Microsoft Edge, there should be three dots in the upper right corner of your window. Please click there and select the “New InPrivate Window”.
Do you see any difference, if you re-upload your file to the Dropbox website from there?

Hi Nancy
Sorry, still no difference.

Hey Lyn14 - sorry to jump in here, but could you clarify if you're previewing the file on the Dropbox website directly or if you're opening it through the Excel integration instead?

Hi
I download from Dropbox to my computer update. Once finished the date is UK format, I up load from Excel to Dropbox - view in Dropbox and format is changed.

Could you maybe send us a full screen screenshot so that we can distinguish where you're previewing the file from Lyn14?
