Dropbox folder load slow (audio files)
We have multiple shared folders, our dropbox folders load perfectly fine when they have only documents inside them. However as soon as you put audio files (.wav / .ogg / etc) inside them, windows explorer (w11) shows the green loading bar & takes a few seconds to process.
I implemented a registry key change below to prevent windows from optimizing folders based on 'music' & restarted the PC however it had made no difference.
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\AllFolders\Shell
Name: FolderType
Value: NotSpecified
Are there any known ways to resolve the loading issues? Files are excluded from AV scanning + windows indexing.

Hey rojan, thanks for letting us know about this.
Can you also quit and restart the Dropbox app, to see if that helps?
If not, try quitting the Dropbox app altogether, to check if the issue persists with the app closed.
Let us know what you find.

Hi Hannah,
Restarting dropbox did not help, it's affecting all users.

Hey rojan, sorry to jump in here, but I was wondering, have you waited enough for the desktop app to sync those changes and show that it's up to date in your system tray?
Does the issue go away when the desktop app is completely closed?

Hi Walter,
The synchronization is completed, it's occurring when any users re-open that folder each time.

Hey rojan, I'll have to insist on checking whether this persists, when the Dropbox app is closed.
