Exporting to Instagram problem
I use dropbox to move pictures from my mac to my iphone, and then export them to instagram. Recently, however, when I go to export from my phone, I get a message that dropbox is linking the file and then it posts directly on instagram, instead of letting instagram open the picture. It doesn't let me crop or edit in instagram. Any ideas what to do?
- I had similar issue in an Android phone. Try these
1. Make sure you have given storage access to both apps Dropbox and Photos app. Just double check usually it’s on.
2. Go to Dropbox app and tap on ‘3 dots icon’ or More options icon. Then select make available offline.
3. Now go back to Instagram and select the file location of Dropbox to select your image file. It should open now.
It seems Instagram can’t access direct dropbox files yet. They must be on storage somewhere. Cheers

Thanks for reaching out to us here sergeo30!
I've just merged your post here as it seems that you're having the same issue. Also, thanks for getting back to me with that screenshot FreekDirkx.
Would both of you mind confirming the following for me:
- Which version of the mobile app you have installed
- Which Android version your devices are
Also, can you let me know if there's any difference if you connect to a different WiFi network? How about when using a cellular data network?
Keep me posted!

Thanks for trying that out sergeo30!
Do you have the same issue if you try and export the file to another app on your mobile?
Also, can you just let me know around what size the file is that you're trying to export?
Cheers!

Andrea,
I've got Dropbox version 180.2.2
Android version 8.1.0
Wifi or cellular doesn't make a difference.
Best, Freek

I am having the same issue. I have a new Samsung S20. I've tried deleting both dropbox and insta and re-installed.
Help would be welcome.
