Getting an error every time I try to download a file from the web using Brave.

I'm getting an error every time i attempt to download a file from the web on brave browser. (i've turned off brave privacy stuff and adblocker)

These errors pop up every time you hit any of the download buttons.

    Hey xicor!

I'd like to point out as a first thing, that Brave isn't an officially supported browser. You can see more about this in the relevant Help Center article

Could you confirm that the built-in VPN is switched to off too?

Since you mentioned that this happens when using a Transfer link, I'd also recommend directly accessing the Dropbox site to see if you can download files from there.

If it makes any difference, this was on Dropbox transfer link and not main site.

I haven't tried small files, this happens for me on a 25gb zip file.

I'm gonna go ahead and check internally about this too, but does this only happen with files, or with folders too xicor

It does this on three entirely different computers with completely different operating systems. It's clearly an issue with Dropbox code on brave browser. Works fine on the other browsers

Hope you don’t mind if I jump in, xicor. Can you double check your Brave browser again for any other settings that could be interfering with your Dropbox downloads? Since the issue only persists on Browser, it seems to be browser-related indeed.

Please make sure you've cleared all cookies, as well.

Yes. Latest version of brave, now on Ubuntu, and two versions of windows. Addons disabled.

Have you ensured that you're running the most updated version of your web browser and that there's no plugin or extension that could be interfering xicor

It works fine on edge, but I've tried brave on two entirely different computers. One windows 11 and one windows 10.

Hey xicor - sorry to hear about this.

If this error persists after clearing your browser's cache, could you try another browser and let us know how it goes?

    Thanks!
