Paper by Dropbox to be discontinued?

I'm seeing a number of posts across social media speculating that Dropbox Paper is to be discontinued. As there has been no Paper by Dropbox app update for 2+ years (since Version 262.2), and because of general user discontent regarding the infamous 2020 update, this rumour seems to be gathering momentum. Could somebody confirm what we should expect (and when) before I start scouting for alternative platforms? Many thanks!

I am also looking for answers on this as my paper app has stopped working and I can't access any of my files. Paper is the main reason that after 10 years I'm willing to pay over $200 a year for the service. I have been spending today vetting and comparing other platforms in case I need to transition before my renewal this month.

Such a great product. I've noticed that it's getting more and more buggy in the file browsing area of it (ironically).....which implies nobody is taking care of it - it feels like the writing is on the wall.

It's unlikely that there's any information available about this. Dropbox rarely releases such information prior to making an official announcement. Basically, if Dropbox Paper is going, we won't know about it until Dropbox makes that announcement.
