Some videos on my account can't be previewed on the site or when I download them

When I click on my videos it says

.mp4 files are supported but something went wrong

I have tried using an incognito window and a different browser. I can't preview my files at all. When I download them they show up as a .mp4 but no preview. When I try to play them QuickTime Player says they can not be opened.

Hey gregover, do you happen to recall the way you uploaded these files to your Dropbox account?

If you use a different platform such as our mobile app, are you able to see the content there?

Also, you mentioned that when you download them they show up as .mp4. Are you able to play the file then?

I uploaded them on my computer, not the app. When I download them I can not play them, thanks

Hey gregover, is there any chance that these files were corrupted from the start?

Have you previewed them on Dropbox before? Feel free to also send us a screenshot of the error message you see when trying to open the files online. Thanks!

    Hey gregover

When was the last time they were able to preview the files on the website without an issue?

Have you tried previewing your downloaded content using another app, other than QuickTime? Also, does the same thing apply for all of your .mp4 content, or some of them?
