Automation: What happens to the timestamp of the new converted files being saved?

Just noticed the new automation tools to convert png to jpg or mov to mp4 etc.

What happens to the timestamp of the newly created files? Do they retain the old file timestamp or it is a new file hence, current timestamp?

I have a huge library of family images / videos from different sources and different people and it will be awesome to have them retain their timestamp yet be converted to standardised formats.

Hey Oshioyi, thanks for using Dropbox and posting on our Community!

The timestamp of the newly created files will match the date of the conversion and won't keep the timestamps of the original files, but you'll be able to check the timestamps of both versions after copying your files to the automated folder.

I'm not sure if this would help, but perhaps you'd like to set up a naming convention on your files beforehand or even use the multi-file organize feature

Let me know of any updates!
