Can I recover a permanently deleted photo?

If it was permanently deleted, it can't be recovered.

If the deletion was recent, Dropbox keeps deleted files in a recoverable state for a certain period, depending on your account type. If you have the Extended Version History add-on, you might be able to recover files beyond the standard recovery period. In some rare cases, Dropbox support may be able to assist, especially if there’s been a technical issue on their end.

Hey deborah621, wanted to provide a correction here.

This is true for files that were simply deleted. 

It does not apply for files that were permanently deleted; those are purged from our servers and are unfortunately unrecoverable.
