Can I restore a shared folder deleted more than 30 days ago if I'm on the Dropbox Professional plan?

Can I restore a shared folder after 30 days if I have the professional version but the owner does not?

Some, yes. Some were corrupted (.jpg rarely survived), but I got .pdfs, .xls., & .doc files from the point where I added them vs when they were deleted. VERY helpful, thank you.

    Thank you for your reply.

I didn't create or share the original folder. I have created folders within the shared folder, but it's my understanding they are not "mine" only shared with me. (?)

I do not see the folder in deleted files or shared files. But I do see in Activity where I created a new folder within the shared folder and moved the files I'm looking for within the shared (not belonging to me) folder on January 1. That created folder is no longer there. It must have been subsequently moved by the owner.

Hi from me too rebeccamac - thanks for the additional information.

Do you see any signs of the folder in question in your events page

To clarify, the owner deleted the file more than 30 days ago and now wants it back. They do not have the professional version, but I do. Because I shared the file, can I restore it?

Hey rebeccamac, thanks for reaching out to us.

If you were the one that created and shared the folder and you're on the Dropbox Professional plan, you should be able to restore the folder, yes.

Do you see if it your deleted files page or your "shared" page here?

Let me know what you find.
