Cannot delete files or folders.

I am the owner of my files but I cannot delete files or folders - The option to delete doesn't even come up. How can I delete my files/folders?

    Hi redworks, I hope you're doing well!

     

    Which platform do you use when trying to delete files? Also, do you follow these steps? 

     

    If you're using our website, have you tried accessing a different browser altogether, or clearing the cache on your current one?

    Hi thanks for your prompt reply. I have been using firefox so went into dropbox with google chrome. same thing, no delete option! And yes I am following the steps as outlined - when i hover over the file/document the elipsis doesn't show up.  thanks

    Hi redworks, could you attach a screenshot showing where you're trying to delete files from, as it might vary depending on what page you're viewing currently?

    Hi Jay I want to delete the Bonus 1 - PowerPoint Presentation Slides folder plus the logo-slogan files...

     

    When I right click on the file I want to delete there is no delete option. Nothing happens when I just hover over the file... i don't see a delete option...  I am the owner of these files. Thanks

    I have just been able to delete individual files... but I can't delete the folders...

    Thanks, the navigation pane on the left is just to access different folders on your account. You can't perform folder deletions or other actions from there.

     

    You'll need to delete the folder on the main pan on the right when you access the parent folder above it.
