Deleted File Restoration: "Everyone who had access to this content before will have access again."

Hi there, I have a folder that was shared with someone else. The person I shared this folder with deleted a load of files before they were removed from the share.

My question is, when restoring these files, will this person get access to them again? This is in relation to the message "Everyone who had access to this content before will have access again." which is displayed in the Restore All Files pop-up window.

    Hi dragndave,

The message you have seen is a template message not entirely accurate (the staff here might think for improving). It supposes that user has still access to the shared folder (something that's not true, as you mentioned). 😉

    Have a nice day.

Hi dragndave, thanks for messaging the Community.

The message refers to users who are current members of the folder, those are the users who would be able to access that content again.

Restoring deleted files wouldn't add removed users back to the shared folder.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
