Dropbox Deleting Files and SYnc Preference Issues
Since yesterday 27.08.23 my Mac has had trouble syncing files, and changing preferences on it's own.
I have two machines running Dropbox
- Mac Studio 2022, running MacOS 12.3.1
- MacBook Air 2022 M2, running MacOS 13.0
Dropbox v181.4.5678
Dropbox has decided to make ALL my files "Make offline only" without me asking (making my external HD full and unable to sync correctly). Files I worked on yesterday have disappeared from Mac Studio, but some still on my MacBook Air. I've checked online to see if specific files have been deleted and is says certain files have. But I haven't deleted these files? Dropbox has!
Screengrab of 3 files DB has deleted, I did not delete these files, they are still on my MacBook Air.
I don't know how many other files are effected.
Does anyone know why DB hs completely changed all my sync file preferences?
Cheers in advance
Scott

Hi Scott Graham, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
The Dropbox desktop application wouldn't make changes to the sync without any user input, or input via apps (which can request files when needed).
Regarding the missing files, are the visible on the deleted files page in order to restore them?
This will help me to assist further!
