Find the size of a folder with many folders

I want to see one sum of the total size of a folder that contains many folders. I do not want to see each folder separately and then have to calculate. the "size" function does not show up on the folder name that contains the other folders. Is there a way to calculate what I want to see?

    You can calculate the size of the folder itself, since it will count the subfolders as well.
