Going into my Dropbox to delete large video files sent to me.

Hi

Someone sent me large video files to my Dropbox. Now it's using about 109%. I want to delete these files as I do not want to pay monthly for more space. Now I'm unable to get in my Dropbox without signing up for additional storage. Now my Dropbox is sending me error messages.

I would like to know what other alternatives do I have.

Thank you

Hey LucindaL, let's jump right into this!

You mentioned that you get errors. Would you mind clarifying more?

Also, you should be able to access your Dropbox account without upgrading for extra storage. If you could let me know what happens when you try to access your account, I'd appreciate it.

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

    Hi Megan

I'm in my Dropbox now and I don't see any of my files. Down to the left hand side, in a pink box are the words, Upload anything  7.51 GB of 6.88 GB. Then on the top in a light pink box, You're out of space! Upgrade now to Dropbox Plus for 2TB (2,000 GB) of space and save 25% Limited time offer. Learn more.

What I wanted to do was delete the videos that someone sent to my Dropbox (it was without my knowledge) until I received an email from Dropbox.

    I hope this helps.

Hey Lucinda! You can definitely delete the files that are taking up the extra space without upgrading your Dropbox account.

Are you able to delete them, if you follow these steps?

    Hi Nancy

I'm in www.dropbox.com/home  I'm assuming that I'm in my dropbox account as I see my initials in the upper right hand corner. I'm not familiar with the procedures.

    Thank you

I tried to download Dropbox to my iMac. It gave me this information.

    Hey LucindaL!

Would you mind clicking on the blue hyperlink, and attaching the entire text of the error back to me, in order for me to analyze it?

    Hi Megan

I see the link dropbox.com/support. Then what?

    I don't see another link.

Hey LucindaL, there's a blue hyperlink on the "couldn't start Dropbox" error window, that's the link Megan's referring to.

    I hope this helps!

I feel like I'm going in circles. So I'm going to delete Dropbox.

    Thank you
