How can I recover recently saved documents if I was overquota?

I have been out of storage space for over a year on dropbox. I was not aware of this until now and my most recently saved documents do not show up in their folders anymore. I used a school email for my dropbox account that is no longer active. Will my documents auto restore after i buy more storage space or have they been deleted for good?

Hi N81, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Upgrading to a paid plan isn't retroactive, so it wouldn't be possible to recover any missing files that aren't visible on the events page or the deleted files page.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
