how to get my files back which I created in dropbox

My dropbox account before was invited in a subscription group, but after I was removed I can't see the files which I created.

How can I get these files back which I created and I am the owner for these files?

If the shared folder was owned by another user, or your were part of a team, then the team admin, or folder owner is technically the owner of those files, and we wouldn't be able to assist on this matter. I'd recommend trying to contact that user for them to help in getting your files back.

Hi peter2023, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you referring to a Dropbox Business team which you left?

Do you see any of the missing files on the deleted files page?

This will help me to assist further!

    Hi Jay

I didn't see these files in the deleted file.

I am not sure if it's business team.

I created lots of files with big space.

After I was removed, as remember I can't access my dropbox account. So my friend add me to his group.

But after I login again, I can't find many files which I created before. only these files in my personal folder are still there.

can you help check my account?

If you were a member of a team, and the admin deleted your account, then it would prevent you from logging in again, which could reflect what you're experiencing now.

Have you tried contacting the person who originally added you to see if they have the files?

I believe all the files is there. but not convenient now to contact.

so just try to understand this scenario.

when I am in same group with A. A share me a folderA and a few files under the folderA.

I created folders and files under folderA.

In this case, when A removed me from the group, if I can't see these files I created in folderA?

If answer is yes, then it can be explained.

Hi peter2023, if you were part of a Business team and the admin removed you, then this would be the case.
