I can't stop an accidental backup operation from a 8 TB external hard drive
I accidentally asked Dropbox to backup an external hard drive. But its 8 TB is size, so now my 3 TB account is full and the backup is still pending.
If I try to the delete the device in "Backups", it fails with the error message: "Couldn't delete 1 item".
Is there anything I could do to stop the backup and delete those files?

Hey tonyvand, thanks for reaching out to us.
Can you guide me through the steps you followed to delete the device?
Have you tried deleting the backup from your backups page online?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Hi Hannah,
Thank you. When I checked again today, the backup was deleted. Not sure what happened, but the problem fixed itself.
