I had an account that I didn’t use for a while, and I need help recovering it.

Hello everybody,

I had an account that I didn’t use for a while (and I also hadn’t been checking the email inbox linked to it).

Recently, I needed some data from this account, but I found that it had been in lock mode for some time. Currently, I’m unable to access it, as I'm informed that with this email I could register again in 27 days.

I also couldn’t find any way to contact support directly, so I am reaching out here.

I wanted to ask if there is any chance to recover my account.

    Hey Danil_Rudenko, thanks for reaching out to us.

     

    I understand that you received an email about your Dropbox account being in locked state.

     

    If your account was already deleted, I'm not 100% sure we will be able to help. However, since I want to try and see what we can do about this, I'd be happy to send you an email.

     

    I'm suggesting this route, since we'd have more visibility to the account in question. Would that be okay?

    The email is: [removed per Community Guidelines] (and this is the exact email associated with the Dropbox account that I would like to recover if there is any chance to do so, of course)

    Danil_Rudenko, in this case, I suggest looking into this with our support team directly (as we don’t have any account visibility here). 

     

    Can you clarify something for me though? Are you currently able to access the email address that was linked to the Dropbox account in question?

    Hi Nancy 

    Yes, I do have access to this email inbox, but unfortunately, I can no longer log in to my Dropbox account with it. My only hope right now is a message that says I'll have the chance to register again with this email in about 20 days—so maybe I still have some window for recovery within those 20 days. The problem is, I’m not sure how to contact support. I was considering reaching out from another account, but that might not be the best idea.
