I'm not sure why dropbox deleted 1874 files but I can't find them

. . . it sent me an e-mail with a "see deleted files" link, but won't take me to where it shows me what those files are because I get a "you don't belong here" Error 403.

I need dropbox to do ONE thing, keep files organized across five devices.  All the other fluff isn't important to us.

I also don't appreciate dropbox putting stuff in the cloud on its own, I need access to ALL my files when I'm deep in the bowels of a federal facility with no wifi access.  Knock it off.

How do I see what files were deleted?

Thanks for the help.

Hi steveola-2002, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

According to our records, your username is associated with a different email address when compared to that in your last image.

Are you certain that you're signing into the correct account to view your deleted files?

This will help me to assist further!

Same thing has happened to me. ALL my files are gone. I haven't been on Dropbox in since roughly Nov. 2023. Why did this happen and where are my files? Dropbox is still charging my monthly.

Hey UTvols1959 - sorry to hear about your missing files.

If you made sure you're looking at the correct account, could you have a look at your events page and let me know what you find?

This is the place where all uploads, edits, and deletions are normally logged so it should give you a hint.

Thanks, Walter. There is nothing listed under the Events page.

Walter....it looks like Dropbox has deleted all my files and is treating me like I am a new customer. I did a "deletion" date search back to Nov. 1...it is showing no files deleted. Do you have the ability to look back at my history and see who deleted what? It wasn't me.

Are you sure you're logging into the correct Dropbox account UTvols1959?

Do you happen to have another one perhaps, associated with a different email address of yours?
