Is this a Bug in Organize - Set naming convention?
I used "Set Naming Convention" to separate words by spaces plus add the Upload Date. The file showed correctly as "2023-08-23 MyFile 123.jpg". Then I realized I wanted the Create Date instead, so I modified the Set Naming rule to "Replace with existing dates detected in filenames".
The files that included a "Create Date" in the metadata worked fine, and showed "2023-06-14 MyFile 123.jpg" (dashes in the date, blanks in the file name). However, the files without a "Create Date", took out the dashes in the prior upload date, so it shows "2023 08 23 Screenshot.png" (this file has no metadata). Not sure this is fixable or just needs to be explained, as follows:
IF you select "Replace with existing dates detected in filenames" AND "Create Date", and if the file being renamed does NOT have a Create Date in its metadata, then any numbers or dates will be treated as words in the file name, and acted upon based on your selection on how you are separating words (by spaces, underscores, or dashes). If you selected spaces, for example, the rule will remove ALL dashes in your title and replace them with spaces.
