Most of my files are missing from Dropbox. I can only see the more recent ones.
Recently I was looking for a file and discovered all my files have disappeared except a few created very recently. What can I do to find them and restore to my account. Thanks
Hi from me as well, @Nanavirginnia!
To have a clear image of what may be happening, can you please check your old iPad and let me know if you can see all of your missing files in your Dropbox mobile app there? We’ll look into this further after that.
As for your previous posts on the forum, you can try clicking on the three dots next to the post you wish to delete. Are you able to remove the ones you want that way?
Let me know.

If you're missing files from Dropbox, check the "Deleted Files" section for potential recovery options. For a business like partybusrentalsdc.com, this could disrupt operations, so reaching out to Dropbox support may help. Regular backups are crucial to avoid such data loss.

Can’t understand why they didn’t transfer when i set up new ipad and transferred everything
When you replace an iPad and you transfer everything to the new one, your Dropbox files do not transfer. This is because the files don't exist on the iPad. The Dropbox app just lets you see the files that are in your account online. Files are not actually stored on the device, unless you mark them as available offline), and even then they wouldn't transfer to a new device. Instead, you would just install the Dropbox app on the new device and sign in with the same account you used on the old device. Everything would be the same if you're using the same account.

As long as you are using the same account on both you dont need to transfer them - it just happens. Thats the whole point of Dropbox - what is on one device is accessible on the other (note, however, they wont download to the iPad they'll just be on the app).
