My dropbox account is full, but it is not allowing me to delete files

I have dropbox open on my iMac. My account is full and not syncing. I want to delete files, but I am not seeing the option to delete or send to trash when I right click on the file. It also appears that most of my file folders are empty and others are greyed out.

How do I free up space, so I stop getting emails from Dropbox without paying for additional storage?

Thanks

  • Thanks for posting your question on the forum, Ace5559.

As a first step, I’d like you to click here and let me know if you can delete any of your files via your web account instead.

Do your folders still appear to be empty there, as well?

Keep me posted for any updates!

    Thank you,
That worked. I was able to delete enough files to free up some space.
    I really appreciate it!
