My files are gone
I was on a subscribed plan. I didn't continue the plan. I understand my files won't be synced in Dropbox as they are over the storage limit, but now most of my files are gone from computer too.

Hi Walter, I checked events, they are deleted but I didn't delete them. How do I get them back to offline?

2 years agoHi minxu, restoring the files is going to be a bit of a tricky situation since the account downgraded.
Do you have enough space on your account's plan page, in order to restore them?
Also, when you say get them back to offline, you mean syncing them to your device as online-only, right? Feel free to clarify.

There's not enough space in my current plan. I mean to get the files back to my device. As the files were added to my laptop then automatically synced to Dropbox. When I downgrade, the files should be synced back to my laptop. In my opinion deleting them is just wrong.

Hey minxu, first allow me to clarify that when you downgrade, your files don't get deleted, only syncing stops.
Not sure what happened that caused the deletion, but in order to restore the files, you'll need enough space in your account.
So, you'll need to temporarily re-upgrade, in order for the deleted files to get restored and then you can cancel your subscription again immediately.

How do I do this? I don't want to pay for the whole year
