My important data is lost, how can I recover it?

My dropbox file has been restored to previous version. It has been restored to 6 months back version.

Now all my important data has been lost. Any idea how this happened and is there any way that i can restore the current version of the file. I could lose my job if the file has not been restored.

Please help

Hi ramesh2805, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you clarify how this happened? Was this on the site, the desktop or the mobile app?

Are you able to see any history of files on the events page or deleted files page?

This will help me to assist further!

Where are your backups of the data? For such critical data you should have them.

What does Dropbox say if you mouse over its icon on the status bar?
