Online Dropbox files getting deleted while syncing to laptop
For my work I need to sync certain folders from our work's shared dropbox, and everyone already has theirs synced no problem, but when I went to sync (Online-only and selected folders only), In the dropbox desktop popup window that shows the real-time syncing, it keeps showing a list of newly "synced" files but underneath it says "Deleted n minutes ago from *folder name*" - what does this mean? Seems like the files somehow are getting synced to my laptop but getting deleted from the shared online Dropbox. I did go to check and it does seem that some random files I saw with this text do not exist on the online app anymore. What is this and how do I fix this?

Hey there, UnaB, welcome to our Community!
Based on the screenshot, it looks like these files are indeed getting deleted.
However, it's not the syncing process that's causing them to get deleted. Are these shared folders mentioned there?
And if so, is it possible that another member of the folder is deleting the content?
Can you check your events page, or deleted files page to see if you can restore them? The Events page at www.dropbox.com/events gives you an overview of all activity in your account including files events (adds/edits/deletes), as well as adding or removing shared folders.
Let me know what you find!
