Question about after deleting drop box from my desktop
After I have deleted dropbox from my computer, something goes wrong...
Befor I deleted dropbox, I tried to update my 'docment' and 'desktop' folder to the dropbox. However, it seems that it creats a 'dropbox(个人)'(Note: 个人means ‘personal’ in English) , 'docment' and 'desktop' folder both remain in the folder of 'dropbox(个人)'. I found it really annoying that each time I am oppening a file on my 'desktop', the address is something like "/mnt/c/Users/(username)/Dropbox (个人)/PC/Desktop". It makes me really annoying. Does anyone know how to remove the annoying 'dropbox(个人)' in the address? I have tried to move the two folders out, but it seems that the two folders are too large to be moved out.

Hi dz3, welcome to our Community!
Let me recap, to make sure we're on the same page here.
You mentioned that you wanted to delete the Dropbox app from the device, however before you did that you wanted to update your Documents, and desktop folder to Dropbox.
By that, I am assuming that you wanted to enable our Backup feature, am I right on this? If not, feel free to correct me.
Now as for the Dropbox personal folder that you might be able to see locally on your device, it sounds like you're currently part of a Dropbox Business team, and you linked your Dropbox personal account with said team, hence the Dropbox (personal) folder.
Can you confirm you're indeed using a Business account, please?
Keep me posted!
- dz32 years agoExplorer | Level 3Thanks a lot for your kind help! It’s my fault that I didn’t describe it very clearly. Actually I think that I did use the backup feature of dropbox. However, it seems that after I used the feature, Both my folders are moved automatically into the ‘personal’ folder which makes my path to the two folders includes the weird ‘Dropbox(personal)’ I hope that I could move my two folders out of the ‘Dropbox(personal)’ How could I do that? Again thanks for your help in advance! Have a nice day!

I think that indeed I have used a business account by my university and also have linked it to my personal account. - dz32 years agoExplorer | Level 3“ Can you confirm you're indeed using a Business account, please?” I assume that this means that the major account is business account, because I actually have personal account and business account, and as you mentioned before, I have linked my personal account to my business account.

Hey dz3, sorry to jump in here, but have you tried disabling and/or deleting your backed up folders from your backups page?
Also, could you clarify if you have the desktop app installed on your computer at the moment?
- dz32 years agoExplorer | Level 3I do have the app installed right now, but I have once deleted the app and reinstalled it. I have once tried to delete the backup folder(not through the app, directly through my computer), but since the folders are so larger, I canceled the process before it begins deleting

Can you navigate to the app's preferences and let me know what options you're getting in the Backups tab dz3?

Would that be enough?

Do you see your Documents and Desktop folders if you click on the "Manage Backups" option shown in your first screenshot dz3?
