1. Pc infected by ransomeware. Files encrypted. Pc shut down and disconneted from internet
2. I was expected to have the chance to rewind all the files at a previous version befor the attack
3. Incredibly its seems that all my folders in the dropbox servers are missed. No encrypted files, no deletion history, bin empty. How its possible?
4. I contacted the assistance 3o hours a go, but nothing happened. Any idea of what happened and whic the time for having a real assistance not useless chats.

Did the ransom attack actually have time to sync to Dropbox? As it updates all files it would then have to sync that change to the files on the network and cloud.
You can see changes at www.dropbox.com/events.

Mark, thanks but as I wrote:

you can deleted and sync but the events should be remaned tracked, in my case the archive is empty but there are no events related to the erase of more than 400 folders....
any explication?
kind regards

I couldnt quite work out what you meant by that.
So yes Events should document everything.
Is Events totally blank? Does it show anything?

Is Events totally blank? Does it show anything? Few changes in a file (the only one left) but no evidence of the folders and files missed
Many thanks for your timecarlo - Mark3 years ago

Were they in a shared folder by any chance? Have you been removed from that Share? That removes the files from your Events history?
How long ago did this happen?
OR has somebody permanently deleted the files - do they show up under the 'Show Deleted Files' option? Note if they've been permanently deleted they dont show up on events

If I was infected with ransomwear and all my files were incrypted I am assuming dropbox would update the the files with incryption. But, once I got a new computer could I just go back to an earlier version of my files, which would not be incrypted, and download those to get up and running again?
