recovering a backup copy of a doc

12 hours ago I finished a document. I needed some headier formatting for another document so I entered it this AM created a new doc and saved without renaming the new doc and it was saved as the initial doc overwriting all content of the first doc. I need that content without having to recreated it from scratch. Any suggestions?

Hey Laszlo1, sorry to hear about this.

Are you referring to a Dropbox Paper doc or another type of file perhaps? How exactly were you editing this file in the first place?

Have you taken a look at your events page or the file's version history to see if you can restore a previous version?

    Keep me posted!
