Recovering files from an old business account.
I am so frustrated that Dropbox does not have anyone in support to work things out with other then email or chat!
I am trying to located files from an old business account so that I can start a new business account and can't seem to get much help.
Further my files got downgraded to a basic account this past year and I can't find where those were stored???
1. Has anyone had any luck getting support to help find an older Buisness account and get files recovered?
2. And, does anyone know were the downgraded files folder goes once the business account is reduced to basic?
Thank you anyone who can help!

Hi JJonesJr
The levels of account do not alter where the files are stored - they will be on the same email as always. So if you stop paying for Business they'll simply remove that plan from your account (ie. quota etc.) and all files will stay there BUT more than likely over quota. So, in answer to your question, simply log on to the account again and it'll be there.
However, one note is that if you've NOT used it in 12 months Dropbox deletes all the data for inactivity.

Okay we are getting somewhere thank you...
I tried loging into that account but it keeps asking me to create a new one as if it is not active any longer. In my mind I have accessed it in the last 3 months, so not sure why it would not allow me to log in?

Is this on the website?
If its asking you to create a new one then the old one doesnt exist anymore. For whatever reason that is.
If you follow through with the joining / setting up what happens?

I went through the create process with all my old information and log in details. It just created me a brand new account with no files.

Then the old account (and the data that was in it) no longer exists and cannot be recovered.
