Basic plan storage free - sync halted

Greetings!  I have a basic plan at the moment, tried to sync files (mostly pics) after parents passed.   Seems I used more than the 2 G allowed, so sync stopped.  Now I deleted many files on my MAC so it says there are only 430G to sync (under "finder / Dropbox") but Dropbox itself will not restart sync and says it's still over the max limit.  Can you hep please?

Hi there ColonelBuffB52 - sorry to hear about your syncing issue.

Could you please send me a screenshot of the app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar or the error you're getting so that I can have a visual too?

    Thanks!

Sure Walt!   first, let me correct my typo above, I've deleted files to sync to only 450M, (not G).

    Here are the screen shots:

Thanks for any help you can provide.
