Cannot receive a file - want to find transfer button
I want to import a file that was sent to me.
Instructions say to "Click Transfer" but there is NO Transfer option.
It is embarrassing to not be able to receive a file, so please help.
I should have opened the file yesterday, but Dropbox give no help at all!

Dropbox doesnt have such a button? The Transfer button is what you use here to send files not receive
We need a bit more info as well - how was the file sent, what happens when you click on the link for the file etc.

Too frustrated ... DB wants me to upgrade, send, join a group or upload. A client sent me a file. The only way Dropbox says one can receive a file is via transfer. I found the button by scrolling down, but that wasn't the answer as you said. There really ought to be a way to receive files.
Even help can't help, but I know not everyone sends and no one receives. It makes no sense.

There is a way to receive files - its easy.
The sender (not you!) sends a transfer and you click on the link and it downloads OR you click on a link if its a share and it downloads. Neither of these methods use your quota if you do not try and add to your account.
