Can't add a file inside a shared folder when using the desktop app. It says I need permission.
I am the owner of a shared folder that is available on my desktop. However, I cannot add any files to that folder. I get an error that I don't have permission. However, I can add files to that folder when I'm on the web.
Problem solved. Turned out that the Permission for Everyone for this folder was set to Deny rather than Allow. Changed to Allow and now everything is working OK. I found another folder with the same problem, although most were OK. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hey wwaag76, happy Friday. I hope you're doing well.
Would you be able to send me a screenshot of the error you get on the desktop app when trying to add content in that folder?
Do you recall if you could upload files that way before, or is it a new folder?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

How do you add a photo? I don't see any options to upload.
I can create a new DropBox folder and add files, which are then uploaded OK. Actually, this is my workaround. Add files to new folder which is uploaded Ok and then copy to the folder that is locked on my Desktop.
