Desktop, Download, Documents disappeared after updating Dropbox (MacOS)
Greetings,
I've seen others with a similar problem, but none of them quite like this.
This morning, I noticed my folders weren't syncing and saw no DB icon, so launched the desktop application. I prompted me to update the application.
When I did, I got a message saying there wasn't enough space on my hard drive, so I went through the selective sync process and selected the files I wanted stored locally.
Now, my entire downloads folder disappeared and all of the contents of desktop and documents have as well.
I did see Dropbox Backup seemed to have everything there, even though I don't recall enabling this feature. However, when I try to restore I get errors.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my computer and neither of these steps solved it.
I appreciate any help!

Hi taej21, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you try these steps to disable the computer backup feature to see if this helps?
Keep me updated with any progress!
