Dragging a file to upload, it ends up in subfolder instead of the current folder

Having the same issue. Using Safari or Firefox. Happens almost as often as drag & drop puts it into the folder that is actually open.
Only reliable way is to click on the upload button. Otherwise it seems there's a 50/50 chance the dragged file will end up in some subfolder and I'll have to go searching for it. Never had this issue until about the past month or so.
Any solutions out there for drag and drop?
