I can't see new content after April on my computer. Where are my files?
So, this is the first time I'm using dropbox on a new computer. For some bizzare reason, the newer files aren't showing up. Anything after April isn't anywhere to be found on my dropbox, but I've had it for years. Why would it cut off just this? Was I supposed to be doing some manual sync stuff?
Yes, it is up to date now. I don't know why it wasn't before though and I'm worried that this could happen again if I ever have to use dropbox on another computer.

Hey there skoelle, sorry to hear about your syncing issue.
For starters, could you let us know the desktop app's exact status and version as shown in your system tray/menu bar?
Thanks!

It says I have dropbox basic. Is that the information you needed?

Hi skoelle, sorry to jump in here!
Your plan isn't the info Walter asked for, but while we're at it, can you clarify the available space you have in your account?
Also, do you use the website, or mobile/desktop app to check for newer files?

I use the desktop app to check for new files. I have 1.94GB out of 2.5GB used. Where do I go to find the information that was requested?

Hi skoelle, it sounds like you're using a Windows device, right?
If so, then you should be able to locate your little Dropbox icon, on your task bar, next to your WiFi icon. If you hover your mouse there, that should give you the app's version and syncing status, which is what we want.
As for the new files, are you able to view them when visiting your account online?

The version is 177 4 5399 and sync status says up to date. The new files do not show up when I visit my account online.

Thanks for the info skoelle!
How and when did you add the content that is now missing, to your Dropbox account? Also, what does your event page report?
The Events page gives you an overview of all activity in your account including files events (adds/edits/deletes), as well as adding or removing shared folders.

I added the content by putting it in the dropbox folders on my computer. I don't know how to access my events page.

You should be able to find your Events page, by clicking on the hyperlink above, but here is the link: www.dropbox.com/events skoelle.

The events page shows a big gap with no activity between 4/18/23 and 7/5/23.
