I'm sharing a file via link, but it forces users to install the Dropbox app.
Been using DropBox for a few years without issue.
Now when I share a link … users complain that they can’t access the file and instead get page to download DropBox.
For one off file sharing I would not 3d left to be forcing them to install app.
Here is sample link [personal information removed per the Community's Guidelines]
It brings user to window as in picture attached here:

As long as you're using a view-only shared link, they should be able to close the modal and continue to the file. What happens when they tap the X?

To explain a bit more .... previously when I shared a DropBox link it would appear in a FB group as an icon.
Now though it just appears as a link ..... and when they click on it tey get page to download DropBox .. and many quit at that point.
Here is an example.
How can I get back to it showing as an icon ?

Thanks for the screenshots! As Jay mentioned above, I’m afraid we can’t help much in this case, as this has to do with the way the link appears in a third-party app.
Please let me know though if your users are still having issues with viewing your shared links without downloading Dropbox first.

I don't know - just had people say they could not view file as it required Dropbox install and they did not want to add software. I'll ask.
