Made folders 'online-only' but still am getting too much down to a PC device
Made folders offline but it still is bringing too much down to a PC device.
'
I see they are offline wit the grayed icon.
How can I stop files from being downloaded to this particular PC?
It is taking up too much space.
I have the 2TB Dropbox Plus plan.
Thanks David, sounds good.
Let us know how it goes. 🙂

Hey ozstar, thanks for coming to our Community.
Do you mean that you've made some folders in your Dropbox 'online-only', but they're still taking up space on your computer?
Or that it's not freeing up enough space? Did you try this with really large folders?
Any additional info you can give me or screenshots that might explain this better, will be really helpful.
Thanks.

Hi,
I mean I have made most folders Online Only and they show the grey icon however when I check the size of the DP folder it is over 200GB.
There should only be about 50 or so GB that I want instant access to on this device.
It has never done this in many years but it is now taking all my space.

Thanks for the update here, David.
Can you please check the sync status of the Dropbox application? You can see that if you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.

Thanks for this info, David!
So, it looks like you have the beta version of the Dropbox application installed, which might be the cause of this issue.
Please go to your account settings, set the 'early releases' option to 'off' and then reinstall the app from this link and let me know if that helped.

Hi,
I have done that now and have rebooted since the install as well.
Win10x64 21H1 29/07/20 19043.2006
Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0
I see it is now updating 5.7K files hopefully dleteing them so they are only online not offline
I will get back when this is done

Yes that worked.
It was obviously the Beta version.
All good now, release 140+ GB from C drive.
Thank you for assistance.
