Moving DropBox from C:\ to D:\

To Whom it may concern.

I am trying to move dropbox from C:\ to D:\ on a DELL PC with Windows 10. I have managed to do this for 3 other machines in the office, but the last machine will not play ball and sync to drive D:\. Any help would be apriciated.

I go through the normal steps of selecting the drive to move to. The process starts, then suddenly stops after moving 178 files to the new drive then the Error message pops up. Unexpected errors occurred. Dropbox is ok.

On the New drive D:\  Dropbox has created the main folder tree.

Hey brendon603, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Could you try quitting the desktop app, un-mounting and remounting your D drive to your computer and then relaunching the desktop app and trying to move your Dropbox folder anew?

Let me know if you still get an error, Brendon.

      Hi Walter,

I have un-mounted and remounted, I actually did this a couple of times. The first got me 207 moved items, then the next time was 237 items which is where it is capping out at.

In that case, could you try unlinking your account from the app's preferences, deleting the Dropbox folder that was created in your D drive and then try re-linking your account and move your Dropbox folder to the D drive again?
