My camera uploads stopped uploading new files on my iPhone.
Until May 18, all the photos I take with my iPhone (iOS 18.1.1) were automatically sync'd into my Dropbox Camera Uploads folder. Since then, the new images are not going into the folder. My phone is fully charged, on strong wifi, and I haven't changed any settings. How do I get it to continue uploading photos to the Camera Uploads Dropbox folder?

Thank you for your update, Michael L.80!
I was wondering if there was any prompt upon enabling camera uploads that offered you to go to settings and adjust your permissions, and whether or not there's a possibility that it was skipped.
For reference, I just had a look from my side on our forum and came across this thread, that I believe references the existence of the setting you mentioned.
Although I can't tell what exactly went down when you first set up the feature, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us here.
Aside from that, if you notice anything else out of the ordinary, don't hesitate to follow up with the relevant details, so we can look further into this right away.
Thanks again!

Ah thanks for letting me know I'm not crazy!! I can buy this explanation, but Dropbox Tech Support told me "nothing changed from our end". You'd think they would definitively let their customers know something like this? Surely we're not the only ones using this feature! Are they just going to field huge numbers of tech support requests and never officially say this is the thing now?

I ran into the same issue, looks like Dropbox now needs “Full Access” to your Photos for Camera Uploads to work. Even without an iOS update, something likely changed on Dropbox’s end. I haven’t seen an official note, but giving “All Photos” access seems to be the only fix.

Hi, thank you for replying. I do not have any other apps that back up or edit my photos. I've tried clearing the cache, I have not yet tried uninstalling. I want to upload the screenshots you asked for but I can't figure out how to do it here. A Dropbox support person asked me to allow unlimited access to all photos. I did that (as shown in the above screenshot), and it worked! Sync'd all the photos to the Camera Uploads folder in Dropbox like it used to before May. What I don't understand is: has the policy changed and now Dropbox won't back up camera photos unless it can access my photo library (and personal photos unrelated to the camera or to Dropbox)? I haven't updated iOS, so they can't really blame it on permissions changes from Apple, I think. Is this a new Dropbox policy or what?

Hey Michael L.80, let me jump in here!
Do you have another app that backs up or edits your photos?
Have you tried clearing the app's cache, then uninstalling it, and try restarting your phone before you reinstall?
If this doesn't work, could you include a screenshot of the Camera Uploads settings in the Dropbox app, and your Dropbox permissions settings?
(Note: The latter are settings for your device, not the Dropbox app.)On iOS, find this by opening the “Settings” app on your iPhone or iPad, and then tapping “Dropbox.”

Thank you Jay! App version is 426.2.2; iOS says I have 747GB of 1TB used (so should be plenty available). Dropbox itself also has 275GB space left.

Hi Michael L.80, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you confirm the version of the Dropbox mobile app on your device?
How much space do you have left on your phone, according to the iOS settings?
Keep me updated with any details!
