Online-only folders don't show up on desktop app after installing Dropbox on M3 Macbook

When I upgraded to my new M3 Mac Dropbox asked if I wanted to keep some folders as online only I said yes to a few older files.  little I realize that now I can only see those folders online  only but they have disappeared from the Dropbox folders rather than being shown in the cloud,  my thought was that they would stay  there and I could always see what folder and files I had. That's not good for me!

Now, I want to get those files back as off-line so I can go back to normal, but not clear what I need to do to get them back.

Any help is appreciate it.

      Mark,

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure if that was the case, I read the the paragraphs a couple of times before making a decision and remember that it said to to check the folders that I wanted to keep as online only,  I don't recall any mention there about selective synch and although that might be the implicit response, I have a hard time coming to terms with it and now rescuing those files.

Hey Manolito64, did you go through the steps that Mark linked in his reply, to see if the folders you're missing are actually unsynced through selective sync?

I have the same machine and the same problem... nothing fixes it yet...

Hey mj p.2, sorry to see that you're also having this issue.

Can you confirm if you've checked your selective sync settings for the folders?
