Prevent auto-syncing

Hi everyone! 

 

I was wondering if there was a way to prevent Dropbox from auto-synching a new uploaded file or folder into every account that have access to my space. 

I have to select and de-synch each folder every time, is there any way to reverse the process and make me decide every time if want to synch a file or not?

    Can you please clarify if you're using an individual account and you were referring to shared folders or if this is about a team account?
