Why isn't there a right click option for "make available offline"?

Why isn't there a right click for "make available offline" while there are three ways to "make online only?"

I don't want to be at the mercy of my ISP or Dropbox for a file I need.

Hey Stephen J.9, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

When a file is already online-only, you should have a right-click option in your Dropbox folder to make it available offline; is that not the case for you?

What's your computer's OS and version?

Also, what's the sync status and version of the Dropbox app?

You can hover over your Dropbox icon for this info.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Hannah,

    Thank you for your assistance.

Thanks for that screenshot, Stephen J.9! And sorry for jumping in.

Can you send us one more screenshot showing the syncing icons next to your files? I’d like to check that as well, and see what may be happening.

Any help appreciated.  FYI . . . Carbonite and Dropbox's indicators don't play well together.  It irritates me I have to back up to a local desk drive because I can't depend on either realizing I've been invaded by a ransomware and they are changing ALL my files, but so far my security plan is working.  If I'm attacked I push the entire mess into the dumpster, go to Costco, buy a computer, and I'm back in business in 6 hours.  🙂

Thanks for the extra screenshot! Appreciate it.

Now, I see some icons next to your files, which don't seem to be generated by Dropbox, so I have to guess they're from Carbonite instead.

Can you please right click on a small file within your Dropbox folder, and choose to make it online-only instead? After that, please wait till your Dropbox app is up to date, and right click on the same file again.

Does the "make available offline" option appear now perhaps?
