All files deleted but dropbox still full
Hello,
I have deleted all my regular and shared folders, restarted dropbox on all devices, and unlinked and re-linked my account across all devices—but dropbox STILL complains it's full. Does anyone know how to solve this? Anyone from the support team maybe?

Hi lampis, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Is it possible that you have enabled any backups on your account?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,
Indeed, there was a backup there. After deleting it, I regained all of my space — thank you so much for assisting here!

This has been a very helpful exchange. I'm experiencing the same problem but I am concerned about deleting a backup of my entire Dropbox. Is "Backup" a new feature of Dropbox? And as a cloud storage provider, aren't backups automatic?
Thanks in advance for clearing up my confusion!

Hi carolebw8, could you check if you have any backups enabled on your account?
