Basic Account Space reduced from 16GB to 2GB
I had 16GB of storage space on my basic account due to referrals I made. Few months ago they reduced it to 2GB. I thought storage increases earned through referrals did not have an expiration.
Any ideas?

Hey thejanman, welcome to our Community!
Referral space is indeed permanent, and does not get removed from your available quota, so let's see what we can find out.
Where did you initially see that your space was down to 2 GB?
If you go to your account settings here, how much space does it report?
If it's a different amount, is it possible that you have a second free account with just 2 GB instead?
Let me know what you find.

Same here. I've always had 10.23Gb of storage space (now using 7.8 Gb) and now it's reduced to 2Gb. Received an email today saying that my storage is about to stop syncing. Wonder why it's happened.

Hey phantasm, if you’re seeing the correct amount of quota here, then you should be alright.
I’d like you to send me a screenshot of the email you received though, so that I can take a look (just make sure your personal info is masked).
Was it sent to the same email address as the one showing here?

Don't just go by the email. Look at your actual usage on your Plan page. What does it show?

You still have all of your space. Remember that 2GB is just the base amount of space that's included with a Basic account to start, so it still shows that. Your usage shows how much space you have including both the base amount and space earned through referrals and other promotions.

This just happened to me yesterday as well. I had about 10gb of storage built up from referrals. I logged out of my personal account in order to install a new work account and then link my personal account, and when I logged back in to my personal account my storage space had reduced to 7.25gb and I now get the over storage limit message.

Hi Rob_NZ! Do you remember how this extra space had been acquired in the past perhaps? Was it via referrals, etc?
Also, what do you see if you go here? Can you send me a screenshot of this page?

The page says I have 5.25gb built up as noted below (personal email addresses removed in the referrals section), and this with 2gb basic adds up to current storage, but I've definitely lost something by logging out and in again because i didn't get the over limit message before this.

Hey Rob_NZ, referral space is permanent and cannot be removed from your account, but can we send you an email, so we can look into this internally?

Thanks. I haven't received an email from you yet.
