Cleared out dropbox, still prompting to upgrade for more space

Hello, I have had dropbox for several years, but was inactive for many of those years. I made sure I had copies of everything and deleted what was in my account (it wasn't much). I am now on a team for work where we use Dropbox to upload files to a shared folder. Whenever I try to login, or am given a link to upload a file to the folder by a coworker, Dropbox says I'm out of storage and asks me to upgrade. I'm super confused and frustrated. What is happening and how can I fix this so I can access the folder?

Hi haycastle, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you a member of a Dropbox Business team, or are you using your personal account to add the shared folder?

Do you have enough quota to add the shared folder, since they do take up quota on all accounts?

This will help me to assist further!
