Dropbox says I'm out of storage even after deleting many of my files

I deleted loads of photos, videos and files but dropbox still says I am out of storage space.  What's up with that? How can I fix it?

        I have just experienced the same issue.  Same case facts, but I'm only at 8.78 GB

        Then I believe Dropbox synced once.

        Now it will not sync anymore with the error message occurs both times on my device, but no errors on my MS W10 machine??

        I notice also about a year+ ago that after retiring another, my third syncs item a pc that We couldn't replace it on drbox
