Dropbox shows that I'm using more space than I actually do. How do I correct this?

I have 10% of the total storage space occupied but it shows that I have 53% of the total storage occupied. How can I correct that ?

The usage numbers are rarely, if ever, incorrect. Have you checked your Backups page? Also, please provide a screenshot of your usage, as shown on your Plan page. It should look like this:

Hi there mihaiculescu, and welcome to the Dropbox Community 👋

Thanks so much for coming back to tell us that the issue is resolved. Your update will certainly help other community members who might face a similar situation with their storage.

By the way, I’m Theresa 👩‍💻, one of the Community Managers here at Dropbox HQ. If you’re open to sharing, I’d love to know what you use Dropbox for in your day‑to‑day. Whether it’s work files, personal projects, storing photos, or something else entirely, I’m always curious how people make it part of their routine.

    Looking forward to hearing more,

    T 😺 (Dropbox Community Manager)

I looked to the backups before, but i did not had the right URL since i could no see them. Apparently there were some backups in an error state just hanging there. Thank you for your support Rich.
