Hey there, Ash33, let's jump right into this!
It sounds like your account might be getting full. Can you check your plan page here?
Your files are safe, and won't be deleted even if your account becomes full.
All that happens if you reach your allocated quota is that syncing stops. Dropbox will only sync until you hit your quota, so if you are over quota all that should happen is that Dropbox will not sync any new files.
