Hi Hannah,
Unfortunately, I didn't get that email. I'm also still experiencing the same issue. - Hannah3 days ago

Hey twelvekay, thanks for your post and sorry to see that you're having this issue.
I just emailed you and I'll see you there!

I have exactly the same issue, likely because an attempt was made to set up the new account whilst at the same premises (via a laptop). Normally day to day operations would be from another location - can you please contact me in relation to this problem to resolve?

Typically, a referral will only count when Dropbox is installed on a computer that has never had Dropbox installed on it before. If he's using your old computer and you previously used Dropbox on it, then that computer wouldn't be eligible for use in a referral.

Thanks for clarifying, chuchunchau. Can I go ahead and log a new ticket for you then?
I can message you to the email address that’s linked to your Community profile here; I’ll be able to see more details on your Dropbox account after that and check what may be happening.

Hey chuchunchau, thanks for posting here today.
Can you please have a look at this Help Center article, if you haven’t already?
Is there any chance the recipient of the referral space already has a Dropbox account of their own, or that they’re trying to create one and redeem the space from the same computer as you?
Let me know what you find.
